DALLAS, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- A 26-point effort from Tyreke Evans Wednesday helped No. 15 Memphis pull away for its 13th consecutive victory -- 79-66 over SMU.

Memphis has won 50 straight games against Conference USA opponents.

Shawn Taggart added 14 points and blocked three shots for the Tigers (19-3, 8-0 Conference USA). Robert Dozier and Roburt Sallie both had 13.

SMU, which has dropped five in a row, was led by Paul McCoy with 16 points. The Mustangs (6-14, 1-7) were within five at intermission, but took a two-point lead with 14 minutes to go.

Memphis then went on a 12-0 run, capped off by a slam from Dozier.
