COL BKB: Clemson 74, Duke 47

CLARKSTON, S.C., Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Trevor Booker scored 21 points Wednesday and No. 10 Clemson limited Duke to 30 percent shooting to crush the third-ranked Blue Devils 74-47.

Clemson won its third straight in the wild Atlantic Coast Conference chase, improved to 11-1 at home and moved into position to challenge for the regular-season league title.

North Carolina, Duke and Clemson have two losses each in conference play. Boston College, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Florida State all have three setbacks.

Terrence Oglesby made five three-pointers and scored 17 points for the Tigers (19-2, 5-2 ACC). K.C. Rivers added 11 points and registered seven steals.

Duke, which had won nine straight games at Clemson, was led by Gerald Henderson with 16 points. The Blue Devils (19-3, 6-2) made just 16 field goals and committed 16 turnovers.

After taking over the No. 1 position in the national rankings, Duke has dropped two out of three.

Clemson turned the Duke turnovers into 23 points and the Tigers' bench outscored the Duke reserves 21-9.
