NHL: Minnesota 3, Anaheim 0

ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Niklas Backstrom made 34 saves Wednesday to produce the 15th shutout of his career and bring Minnesota a 3-0 victory over Anaheim.

The Wild won for the third time in four games, getting a goal and an assist each from Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Mikko Koivu.

Jonas Hiller, making his fifth consecutive start in goal, stopped 22 of 24 shots to take the loss. Hiller has replaced All-Star Jean-Sebastien Giguere in the starting role and entered Wednesday's game with a .925 save percentage.

Andrew Brunette gave Minnesota the lead with a power-play goal 4:21 into the first period.
