TORONTO, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant scored 36 points Wednesday and blunted a Toronto upset bid in the final minute, boosting the Los Angeles Lakers past the Raptors 115-107.
Toronto dropped its fourth straight game and also lost forward Chris Bosh to a sprained right knee in the fourth quarter.
Bryant was coming off a 61-point show in New York Monday, the most points ever scored in Madison Square Garden. He helped the Lakers improve to 4-0 on their six-game road trip, a journey that ends with contests against powers Boston and Cleveland.
Toronto was within two points when Bryant made a jumper with 24 seconds to go. After Anthony Parker missed a shot for the Raptors, Bryant claimed the rebound and added two foul shots with 10 seconds left for a six-point cushion.
Paul Gasol contributed 31 for the Lakers, who have won eight of nine overall.
Toronto was led by Joey Graham's career-high 24 points. Jermaine O'Neal came up just short of a triple-double with 22 points, nine rebounds and nine blocks.
Bryant reached the 30-point mark for the 12th time this season. Bosh's injury came in a game that saw him surpass 8,000 points for his career.
