ROSEMONT, Ill., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Jere McNeal scored 26 points Tuesday, fueling eighth-ranked Marquette's 76-61 win over DePaul.

Wesley Matthews shot 8-for-10 from the floor en route to a 20-point performance and Dominic James added 15 as Marquette (20-2, 9-0 Big East) ran its winning streak to 12 games. The Golden Eagles shot 57.1 percent from the field.

DePaul (8-15, 0-10) got a game-high 30 points from Will Walker but haven't won a game since Dec. 28 against Alcorn State.

Marquette opened the game up early with 18-5 run less than 6 minutes into the game but DePaul fought back to make it 42-37 at halftime.

The Golden Eagles led by nearly 10 points for most of the second half and stretched the margin out in the final 4 minutes.
