ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Orlando guard Jameer Nelson has suffered a torn labrum and will be out of the NBA team's lineup for an undetermined amount of time, the Magic said Tuesday.
Nelson had additional tests after dislocating his right shoulder during Orlando's game Monday against Dallas that uncovered the additional injury. The labrum is cartilage on the shoulder blade. A course of treatment and timetable for return is yet to be determined, team officials said.
The injury could keep Nelson from playing in the NBA All-Star Game Feb. 15.
Nelson was hurt in the third quarter of Monday's game when he collided with Dallas center Erick Dampier while chasing a loose ball.
He is averaging 16.7 points and 5.4 assists over 42 games this season. He leads the Magic in 3-point shooting with a 45.3 percentage.
