
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points Monday, sparking the Dallas Mavericks to a 105-95 victory over the Orlando Magic.
Jason Terry scored 23 points, and Josh Howard and Jason Kidd each added 13 points for Dallas which won its third straight. Kidd also had eight assists and five rebounds.
The Magic connected on only 3-of-20 three-point tries and only one until the closing minutes.
Magic All-Star guard Jameer Nelson left the game with 9:11 left in the third period with a dislocated shoulder. Nelson, who had been averaging 17 points per game, was hurt in a collision with Mavericks center Erick Dampier.
Orlando's Dwight Howard hit 13-of-19 field goals and finished with 35 points and 11 rebounds. Hedo Turkoglu added 18 points.
