DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Gerald Henderson had a team-high 18 points and 10 players scored Sunday when top-ranked Duke walloped ACC foe Virginia, 79-54.
Duke settled the issue by bolting to a 43-21 halftime advantage, ending the half with a 6-0 spurt, and led by as many as 27 points in the final stanza.
They have won 12 of their last 13 meetings against the Cavaliers.
Henderson also had three rebounds and four assists.
Nolan Smith scored 15 with four rebounds.
Jon Scheyer scored 11 with seven rebounds, while seven others reached the scoring column for the Blue Devils (19-2, 6-1), who bounced back from a 70-68 loss at fourth-ranked Wake Forest last Wednesday.
Sylven Landesburg led Virginia 20 points, but committed five personal turnovers.
Mike Scott scored 10 with four rebounds, and was the only other player in double figures for the Cavaliers (7-10, 1-5), whose losing streak grew to five in a row.
