
ATLANTA, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Iman Shumpert sank a jump shot with two seconds left Saturday, giving Georgia Tech a 76-74 upset of fourth-ranked Wake Forest.
The victory snapped Tech's five-game losing streak.
Wake Forest led, 74-72 with 1:48 to play, but Shumpert hit two jumpers in the closing 21 seconds, the first after Wake was charged with a shot clock violation.
Wake held a slim 43-41 lead at the break and the contest went back-and-forth for the entire second half.
Tech's Gani Lawal led all scorers with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Lewis Clinch had 19 points, four rebounds, and two assists, and Alade Aminu added 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Yellow Jackets (10-10, 1-6 ACC).
For Wake, Al-Farouq Aminu had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Jeff Teague scored 16 with three rebounds and two assists, while James Johnson added 13 points, seven rebounds, and six assists for the Demon Deacons (17-2, 4-2), who downed top-ranked Duke, 70-68, on Wednesday.
