COL BKB: Washington 84, Arizona St. 71

TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Justin Dentmon's 30 points Saturday helped the Washington Huskies to a surprising 84-71 victory over 14th-ranked Arizona State.

Dentmon had 18 of his points in the first half for the Huskies (16-5, 7-2 Pac-10), who remain in a tie for first place in the conference with UCLA.. Isaiah Thomas added 25 points for Washington.

Jeff Pendergraph scored 21 points for the Sun Devils (16-5, 5-4), whose head coach, Herb Sendek, is still stuck at 299 career wins after two consecutive losses. James Harden added 15 points for Arizona State.
