TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 30 (UPI) -- The Arizona Cardinals enjoyed a brief stint of sunshine Friday during their preparation for Super Bowl XLIII Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The NFL pool report said the sun came out the final 45 minutes of the Cardinals' practice at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice facility on a day of unseasonably chilly weather conditions.
"I thought it was a good week of work," Cardinals Coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "You always wonder when you go on the road and your team is practicing in another facility if your team is going to have the consistency that you've had."
In three Eastern contests during the regular season -- Sept. 21 at Washington, Sept. 28 at the New York Jets, and Dec. 21 at New England -- the Cardinals went 0-3, losing by a combined 127-59 margin.
They remain 7-point underdogs in their first-ever NFL title game appearance.
The contest will be played at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium.
