DETROIT, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Marty Turco, given an early four-goal lead, recorded his first regular-season victory ever in Detroit Thursday, helping the Dallas Stars down the Red Wings 4-2.

Turco made 22 saves to end his Detroit jinx after having lost eight games and tying two in 10 previous trips to Joe Louis Arena.

The Red Wings lost their fourth straight, Detroit's longest skid of the season. Dallas has won three in a row for the first time this year.

Steve Ott and Jere Lehtinen scored power-play goals 1:17 apart midway through the first period and Chris Conner produced his first score of the season with 1:28 to play in the frame.

Conner had registered five assists in 12 games since being called up from the American Hockey League.

Loui Eriksson extended Dallas' lead to 4-0 with another power-play goal 2 minutes into the second period.

Chris Osgood allowed three goals on 12 shots in the opening period and was replaced by Ty Conklin.

Detroit managed only four shots in the third period and wound up losing the season series to Dallas 3-1.
