NBA: San Antonio 106, Utah 100

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- San Antonio used a 10-0 spurt early in the fourth quarter Tuesday to grab the lead and held on to send Utah to its fourth straight loss, 106-100.

Tim Duncan and Tony Parker each scored 24 points to power the Spurs to their fifth win in six outings. Duncan also had nine rebounds and eight assists.

San Antonio got another 20 points from Matt Bonner.

The Jazz got 23 points from Ronnie Brewer, and 22 points and 17 rebounds from Mehmet Okur.

This game was tied through the first three quarters, with Utah up 28-25 after one, the Spurs ahead 50-49 after two and an 80-80 tie after three. After the Jazz got the first two points of the final stanza, the Spurs ripped off 10 unanswered points. And while the Jazz pulled back within two with 25 seconds to go when Okur made three free throws, Manu Ginobili put the game away with four free throws down the stretch.
