WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- James Johnson's layup with less than a second left Wednesday gave No. 4 Wake Forest a 70-68 win over top-ranked Duke.

He scored nine of his 13 points in the second half, and also had 11 rebounds, three assists and four of his team's nine blocked shots.

On the game-winning basket, Johnson scored following a pass from L.D. Williams.

Al-Farouq Aminu led the winners with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Jeff Teague scored 11 with three rebounds, and three steals for the Demon Deacons (17-1, 4-1 ACC), who were the nation's top-ranked team when they suffered a 78-71 home loss to Virginia Tech last Wednesday.

They held a 33-28 halftime lead, and led 61-48 with 8:50 left.

Kyle Singler led Duke with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Gerald Henderson scored 20 with eight rebounds and three steals. Jon Scheyer added 13 points, but sank only 2-of-10 shots for the Blue Devils (18-2, 5-1), whose 10-game winning streak ended.
