NHL: Tampa Bay 5, Montreal 3

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis each had a goal and an assist Tuesday, lifting the Tampa Bay Lightning past Montreal 5-3.

Ryan Malone, Vinny Prospal and Steve Downie also scored for the Lightning, who have won three straight and are 6-2-0 in their last eight games. Mike Smith made 31 saves to earn his 14th win of the season.

Maxim Lapierre scored twice and Carey Price stopped 19 shots for the Canadiens, who have lost three in a row.

Tampa Bay trailed 2-1 after the first period but erupted for three goals in the second period.
