NHL: Minnesota 6, Toronto 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Pierre-Marc Bouchard had two goals in Minnesota's four-goal second period Tuesday, fueling the Wild's 6-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Bouchard also had an assist.

Owen Nolan and Andrew Brunette each had a goal and an assist for the Wild, who have won two of three. Niklas Backstrom made 27 saves in the win.

Jason Blake had the lone goal for Toronto, which took its fourth straight loss and eighth out of its last nine games. Goalkeeper Justin Pogge made his second career start and gave up all six Minnesota goals on 21 shots.

The teams were playing for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
