COL BKB: Texas 78, Baylor 72

WACO, Texas, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- A.J. Abrams scored 19 points Tuesday, pacing the 12th-ranked Texas Longhorns to a 78-72 victory over the Baylor Bears.

Damion James added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Longhorns (15-4, 4-1 Big 12), who haven't lost to Baylor since Feb. 21, 1998.

Abrams tied the Big 12 record for three-pointers with three Tuesday that gave him 338 for his career. He tied Jeff Boschee, who played at Kansas from 1999-2002.

Cutis Jerrells scored 14 points for Baylor (15-5, 3-3), which lost for just the second time in 13 home games this season. Kevin Rogers had 13 points and 12 rebounds, and LaceDarius Dunn scored 12 points.
