CLEMSON, S.C., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Terrence Oglesby's 18 points Sunday paced a balanced attack and the ninth-ranked Clemson Tigers beat ACC rival Georgia Tech 73-59.
The Tigers quickly increased a small 37-34 halftime lead by starting the final 20 minutes with a 12-3 run. When the spurt ended on Oglesby's three-pointer with 16:23 remaining, the Tigers held a 49-37 lead and were not in danger from that point.
Trevor Booker scored 11 with 11 rebounds, while Raymond Sykes and Jerai Grant had 10 points and four rebounds each for the Tigers (17-2, 3-2), who ended a two-game slide and bounced back from a 94-70 drubbing Wednesday at sixth-ranked North Carolina.
Gani Lawal led Georgia Tech with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Alade Aminu scored 12 with eight rebounds, while Zachery Peacock totaled 10 points, three rebounds and three steals for the Yellow Jackets (9-10, 0-6), whose losing streak grew to five straight games.
