KAUPULEHU-KONA, Hawaii, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Brad Bryant shot a 7-under 65 to take a one-stroke lead over Bernhard Langer into the final round of the Champions Tour Mitsubishi Electric Championship.

Bryant finished Saturday's second round at 15-under 129. He and Langer entered the round at the Hualalai Golf Club as co-leaders after the first 18 holes, but Bryant finished the round with a go-ahead birdie at the par-4 18th.

"I hit the ball good early and hit only one so-so shot on the front nine," Bryant said. "I'm putting well."

Langer shot 6-under 66, but bogeys at the fifth and 12th holes kept him from maintaining a share of the lead. His overall total is 14-under 130.

Jay Haas (66) is alone in third at 13-under 131, with Hale Irwin (67) and Jeff Sluman sharing fourth at 12-under 132.

Fred Funk, who birdied the final two holes last year to beat Allen Doyle, did not return this year to defend his title.
