NFL releases list of draft eligibles

NEW YORK, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- A group of 46 players has been granted special eligibility for the 2009 NFL Draft on April 25-26.

Each player has met the league's three-year eligibility rule and submitted a written application by the Jan. 15 deadline for receiving applications to renounce any remaining college football eligibility.

Included in the group are four quarterbacks, eight running backs, nine defensive backs, and 10 wide receivers led by Florida junior Percy Harvin, the man most analysts call the best wideout available this year.

"Percy is the most dynamic player I've ever coached and can change the game on any given play," Florida Coach Urban Meyer recently told the Gainesville Sun.

Among others on the list are quarterbacks Matt Stafford of Georgia and Mark Sanchez of Southern California, running backs LeSean McCoy of Pittsburgh, Donald Brown of Connecticut and Knowshon Moreno of Georgia, and Texas Tech sophomore Michael Crabtree, a two-time winner of the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top wide receiver.
