"I've made the transition many times with different personnel and going into teams that have been 4-3 teams," Capers said in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "How gradual you evolve into the 3-4 always depends on your personnel."

Capers, who ran the New England secondary and served as a special assistant to Patriots head coach Bill Bellichick last season, agreed to take the defensive coordinator's job in Green Bay on Monday.

Capers complied a record of 48-40 as head coach of the Carolina Panthers in 1997-98 and Houston Texans from 2002-2005.

He was a defensive coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins.

Huizenga selling most of Miami Dolphins

MIAMI, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Miami Dolphins majority owner Wayne Huizenga has agreed to sell all but 5 percent of the Dolphins, the AFC East champions, to Stephen Ross.

Ross bought 49 percent of the team and Dolphins Stadium in 2008 for $550 million. The Miami Herald Tuesday said Huizenga would retain 5 percent interest in the team in a deal that may be worth as much as $1.1 billion.

The report said team executive vice president Bill Parcells, who guided the Dolphin's single-season worst-to-first turnaround in the AFC East, will have a month to decide whether he will remain with the team.

Parcells has three years left on a $16-million contract, which allows him to leave the team without forfeiting any salary if the Dolphins are sold.

Huizenga has said he believes Parcells will stay on as executive vice president.
