Ravens' McGahee out of hospital

OWINGS MILLS, Md., Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Baltimore running back Willis McGahee was out of a Pittsburgh hospital Monday, the day after a violent collision with Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark.

Kevin Byrne, the Ravens' senior vice president of public and community relations, said McGahee returned to Baltimore where he was resting at home.

"It is expected that Willis will have a complete recovery from the head and neck injuries he suffered last night," Byrne said.

McGahee was carted off the field after he and Clark collided head to head with 3:29 remaining in the fourth quarter just after McGahee caught a short pass over the middle. Both players remained on the field for several minutes with Clark eventually getting to his feet and walking to the Pittsburgh bench.

McGahee finished the game with 60 yards on 20 carries and a pair of touchdowns before leaving but the Ravens fell to the Steelers 23-14 in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.
