PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki hit a jump shot from outside the foul line as time expired Monday, delivering Dallas a 95-93 streak-snapping victory over Philadelphia.
Nowitzki finished with 24 points and Jason Kidd had 22 points with 12 rebounds and six assists as the Mavericks managed a second straight win after losing four in a row. Jason Terry put in 20.
The 76ers, who had won seven straight before being upended by the Mavericks, got 25 points off the bench from Lou Williams. Andre Iguodala had 18 points and 12 boards for Philadelphia.
The Sixers were without forward Elton Brand, who is still out with a dislocated shoulder. He's expected to return Saturday against the New York Knicks.
Philadelphia held led by as many as 12 points in the first half before Dallas used an 8-0 run to go into the locker room down just 46-42.
Philadelphia tried to pull away in the third quarter but a 14-0 Dallas splurge gave the Mavericks a 74-63 lead going into the fourth quarter and they staved off the Sixers down the stretch.
