CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Tyler Hansbrough had 24 points and Wayne Ellington scored 23 -- all in the second half -- in No. 6 North Carolina's 82-65 win over Miami-Florida Saturday night.

Danny Green had 12 points and Ty Lawson finished with 11 points and eight assists for the Tar Heels (16-2, 2-2 ACC), who trailed by nine points in the first half before coming back to stage a 13-0 run to finish the half and take a 36-32 lead at intermission.

Jack McClinton led the Hurricanes (13-4, 2-2) with 21 points and Dwayne Collins scored 13. Adrian Thomas had 10 points and Jimmy Graham had 10 rebounds for Miami, which had come into the game on a six-game winning streak.

The Carolina run at the end of the first half came as Miami lost its shooting touch -- missing on its last nine shots from the field before the break.
