NHL: New Jersey 3, N.Y. Islanders 1

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Zach Parise had a goal and an assist Saturday night to pace the New Jersey Devils to a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders.

Travis Zajac and David Clarkson also scored for the Devils, who are 4-1-0 thus far on a six-game road trip.

Scott Clemmensen made 32 saves to earn his 17th win.

Blake Comeau had the lone goal and Yann Danis stopped 33 shots for the Islanders, who are winless in 2009 after losing seven straight since a Dec. 31 victory against Florida.
