DALLAS, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Dallas's Mike Ribeiro scored two goals Saturday, the second on a shootout wrist-shot that gave the Stars a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.

Ribeiro's game-winner was the only goal of the shootout.

All the scoring in regulation came in the third period, which had a hectic finish.

Ribeiro scored with 1:12 remaining, breaking a 1-1 tie. Less than a minute later, the Kings' Alexander Frolov fired in a goal, setting up overtime.

Jere Lehtinen scored the other Dallas goal and Dustin Brown tallied for the Kings.

Dallas goaltender Marty Turco blocked 20 shots and Erik Ersberg made 32 saves for Los Angeles.
