LUBBOCK, Texas, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Damion James scored 18 points for eleventh-ranked Texas Saturday in a 71-49 rout of Texas Tech.

Texas led by just six points at halftime but pulled away in the second half.

Justin Mason and Gary Johnson each contributed 15 points for the Longhorns (13-4, 2-1 Big 12).

Alan Voskuil led the (Red Raiders (10-7, 0-2) with 12 points. Mike Singletary added 10 points.
