OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- A 32-point effort by Kevin Durant Friday helped the Oklahoma City Thunder produce its first winning streak this season with an 89-79 victory over Detroit.

The Thunder have won three out of four in what has easily been their best stretch of basketball since moving from Seattle at the end of last season.

Oklahoma City has not only put together back-to-back wins for the first time in its new home, but those two wins have come over teams with winning records. The Thunder downed Utah by 21 points Wednesday, the most one-sided of their eight victories.

After having endured a 14-game losing streak earlier in the season, Oklahoma City is now tied with Washington and the Los Angeles Clippers for the fewest wins in the NBA.

Oklahoma City owned a four-point lead going into the fourth quarter and then held Detroit scoreless for almost all of the first half of the closing period.

The Pistons' first points of the quarter came on a jumper by Antonio McDyess with 6:16 remaining, by which time Detroit had fallen behind by 17 points.

Chris Wilcox added 17 for Oklahoma City and the Pistons were led by Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince with 18 each.
