Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24


MELBOURNE, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- The Australian Open draw, released Thursday, has top-seed Rafael Nadal of Spain playing Christophe Rochus of Belgium in the first round.
The tournament, first Grand Slam of the year, begins Monday.
Four-time winner Roger Federer, the No. 2 seed, will open against Italian Andreas Seppi.
Defending champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia, seeded No. 3, takes on a qualifier and the fourth seed, Scot Andy Murray, will go against Romania's Andrei Pavel.
The fifth seed, France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, runner-up in the event last year, will play Argentine Juan Monaco.
