BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Jeremy Childs is leaving Boise State to try his luck in the National Football League, Broncos Coach Chris Peterson said Tuesday.

Childs is giving up his senior year to enter the NFL draft, the Idaho Statesman reported.

Childs is a two-time WAC first-team selection. He caught 168 passes for 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns during his time at Boise State.

Teammate Kyle Wilson, a cornerback who was named an All-American punt returner in 2008, has decided to return, however.
