DALLAS, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Trevor Daley scored 1:51 into overtime Monday to give the Dallas Stars a 5-4 victory over Detroit.

Matt Niskanen faked a shot before passing to Daley and Daley's initial shot was saved by goalie Chris Osgood, who roamed 15 feet beyond his net to make the stop -- but Daley slipped a shot ahead of a Wings defender.

Nicklas Grossman, Stephane Robidas, Mark Parrish and Steve Ott also scored for the Stars, who had 49 shots on net.

Marty Turco made 26 saves for Dallas.

Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and two assists for the Red Wings, who saw their five-game win streak end. Brian Rafalski, Marian Hossa and Tomas Holmstrom scored for Detroit, which could not hold leads of 3-1 and 4-3.

Osgood blocked 44 shots.
