COL BKB: Louisville 87, Notre Dame 73 (OT)

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Terrence Williams had 24 points and 16 rebounds Monday to lead 20th-ranked Louisville to an 87-73 overtime win over 13th-ranked Notre Dame.

Samardo Samuels added 18 points for the Cardinals (12-3, 3-0 Big East), who outscored the Fighting Irish 16-2 in the overtime period. Louisville has won four in a row, but has a date Saturday with top-ranked Pittsburgh.

Earl Clark had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Louisville.

Luke Harangody scored 28 points and had 13 rebounds for the Fighting Irish (12-4, 3-2). Kyle McAlarney added 19 points for Notre Dame.

Clark's three-pointer made it 76-73 for Louisville a minute into the overtime. Samuels then had a three-point play for a six-point lead and Williams' field goal gave the Cardinals an 81-73 edge.

Notre Dame failed to score in the last four minutes of overtime.
