NHL: New Jersey 5, Los Angeles 1

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Travis Zajac had a goal and two assists Saturday night to lead the New Jersey Devils past Los Angeles 5-1.

Jamie Langenbrunner, Patrik Elias and Zach Parise had a goal an assist apiece for the Devils, who won for the first time in three games. Brian Rolston scored a goal and Kevin Weekes stopped 34 shots for New Jersey.

Derek Armstrong scored a goal and Jonathan Quick surrendered five goals on 28 shots for the Kings, who had gotten past Anaheim Thursday.

Zajac opened the scoring with a power-play tally at 14:02 of the first, and Elias scored what turned out to be the game winner at 1:07 of the second.
