NHL: Edmonton 2, St. Louis 1

EDMONTON, Alberta, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- A goal by Sam Gagner lifted the Edmonton Oilers to a 2-1 victory Sunday over the St. Louis Blues.

Gagner was assisted by Erik Cole and Ryan Potulny on the decisive goal with 13:29 remaining in the third period.

Yan Stastny had put the Blues ahead 1-0 early in the second period and Gilbert Rule tied it for Edmonton six minutes later, with assists from Potulny and Gagner.

The Oilers' Dwayne Roloson turned back 21 shots and St. Louis' Manny Legace stopped 26.
