Chicago boxer dies in first title fight

PORTLAND, Wash., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge had 26 points and Brandon Roy had 19 for the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday night in a 113-100 win over Golden State.
Roy was playing for the first time after missing four games with a hamstring injury. Travis Outlaw scored 19 points and Steve Blake had 15 for the Blazers, who have won two straight.
Corey Maggette scored 25 points and Kelenna Azubuike had 21 for the Warriors, who have lost five straight games.
The Warriors pulled within 99-94 with 4 ½ minutes left to play, but Roy went on a personal 5-0 run and Portland had the game in and the rest of the way.
