ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Ryan Malone scored his second goal of the game midway through the third period Friday, lifting the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 4-3 victory over Anaheim.

It was the Lightning's first win over the Ducks in almost six years.

In a rare meeting between the teams, Anaheim overcame a 3-1 deficit with goals 12 seconds apart late in the second period by Steve Montador and Chris Pronger. The game remained tied until Malone put a wrist shot past Jonas Hiller with 9:10 to play in the third.

Tampa Bay's last victory over Anaheim had come on Feb. 25, 2003, in Tampa. The teams last met in December 2006.

Karri Ramo made 29 saves to get the victory, only the 12th this season for Tampa Bay. The New York Islanders and Tampa Bay are tied for the least number of wins in the NHL this season.
