SUNRISE, Fla., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Florida ripped the Atlanta Thrashers 8-4 Saturday, with Ville Peltonen scoring twice and six other Panthers adding a goal apiece.
The Panthers led all the way, knocking in three goals in the first period and five in the third.
Radek Dvorak posted a goal and two assists, Micheal Frolik, David Booth and Nathan Horton each had a goal and assist ,and Jay Bouwmeester and Cory Stillman also scored for Florida.
The Panthers have won three straight games and four of five.
Todd White, Erik Christensen, Ilya Kovalchuk and Colby Armstrong scored for Atlanta, which has dropped seven of its last nine games.
