DENVER, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- David Jones scored twice and added an assist for the Colorado Avalanche Saturday in a 5-3 win over Pittsburgh, which has lost seven of its last eight games.
The Avalanche scored three times in the second period to take a two-goal lead and swapped goals with the Penguins in the third. Colorado goalie Andrew Raycroft finished with 21 saves for his seventh straight win.
Ryan Smyth, Wojtek Wolski and Cody McLeod each had a goal and assist for Colorado, which has won three straight games.
Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin each had a goal and assist for Pittsburgh. Jordan Staal also scored.
Pittsburgh goalie Dany Sabourin allowed four goals and blocked 21 shots until he was replaced by Marc-Andre Fleury, who let in a goal and stopped six shots.
