CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Larry Fitzgerald had eight receptions for 166 yards Saturday night and the Arizona Cardinals capitalized on six Jake Delhomme turnovers to top Carolina 33-13.

The victory moved the Cardinals into the NFC Championship Game for the first time in franchise history. They will play the winner of Sunday's New York Giants-Philadelphia game.

Fitzgerald, the third overall draft pick in 2004, had six catches for 151 yards and a touchdown in the first half when the Cardinals took a 27-7 lead. Arizona scored 33 straight points after Carolina's Jonathan Stewart scored on the game's opening drive.

Kurt Warner connected on 21-of-32 passes for 220 yards with the two TDs for the Cardinals (11-7), who won a pair of playoff games in the same season for the first time in franchise history. The last time the team made it this far was when the 1948 Chicago Cardinals lost the league championship game at Philadelphia.

Delhomme was intercepted five times and also lost a fumble. He ended 17-of-34 for 205 yards with one TD.

It was the Panthers (12-5) first home loss since Dec. 22, 2007, against Dallas.
