COL BKB: Oklahoma 61, Kansas State 53

MANHATTAN, Kan., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Blake Griffin scored 29 points and hauled in 15 rebounds for No. 6 Oklahoma, which took control midway through the second half Saturday and beat Kansas 61-53.

The Sooners used a 9-2 run to go ahead by seven points with 11 minutes to go and then upped the advantage to 10 points 4 minutes later.

Willie Warren added 10 points for the Sooners (15-1, 1-0 Big 12), who have won three straight games.

Denis Clemente led the scoring for Kansas State (11-4, 0-1) with 18 points.

The Wildcats had won their previous six games.
