Federer ends year at No. 1

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Thirteenth-ranked Notre Dame, led by Luke Harangody's 30 points and 16 rebounds, extended its home win streak to 45 games Saturday, defeating Seton Hall 88-79.
Tory Jackson registered 18 points seven rebounds and eight assists, and Kyle McAlarney also totaled 18 points for the Fighting Irish (12-3, 3-1 Big East). McAlarney connected on four of six shots from 3-point range.
Eugene Harvey led the Pirates (9-7, 0-4) with 21 points.
Seton Hall has lost six of its last seven games, including all four against Big East opponents.
