COL BKB: Michigan State 75, Kansas 62

EAST LANSING, Mich., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Twelfth-ranked Michigan State hit less than 40 percent of its field goals but sank 26 free throws Saturday en route to a 75-62 win over Kansas.

Kalin Lucas led the Spartans (13-2) with 22 points, Raymar Morgan added 13 and Travis Walton 11.

Michigan State, winner of nine straight games, grabbed 13 offensive rebounds, helping to offset its 39.3 percent field goal shooting.

Sherron Collins of the Jayhawks (11-4) was the top scorer in the contest with 25 points, Cole Aldrich had 14 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double.
