COL BKB: Miami (Fla.) 77, Boston Coll. 71

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Brian Asbury and Dwayne Collins, with 13 points each, led a balanced Miami-Florida offense Saturday in a 77-71 win over No. 24 Boston College.

Miami led by only a point with under a minute to play and used free throws to stay in front the rest of the way.

Jack McClinton and James Dews each scored 12 points for the Hurricanes (12-3, 1-1 ACC), winners of five straight games.

Tyrese Rice of the Eagles (13-4, 1-1) was the game's leading scorer with 21 points.
