NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Rasual Butler made six three-point shots Friday and produced 27 points to send the New Orleans Hornets coasting past the Los Angeles Clippers 107-80.
The Hornets had lost two of their previous three games, but made 51 percent of their shots from the field and had no problem with the struggling Clippers after opening a 10-point lead through one period.
James Posey added 16 points for New Orleans and Tyson Chandler had 13.
The Clippers have lost 10 in a row and are one of four teams in the NBA this season that have yet to reach 10 victories. Mardy Collins and Eric Gordon scored 15 points each for Los Angeles.
