COL BKB: Arizona State 69, Oregon State 38

TEMPE, Ariz., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- James Harden keyed a dominating effort Thursday that sent No. 16 Arizona State sailing to an easy 69-38 victory over Oregon State.

Arizona State (13-2, 2-1 Pac-10) bounced back from a loss to California by scoring the first eight points against the Beavers.

The Wildcats held Oregon State without a point for the final 5:30 of the first half, en route to a 30-15 advantage at the break. Arizona State then scored the first nine points of the second period.

Harden made 10-of-12 shots and scored 22 points. Arizona State hit 62 percent of its field goal attempts and limited the Beavers to 36 percent.

Oregon State (6-7, 1-2) was paced by Lathen Wallace with 13.
