NHL: Anaheim 3, Los Angeles 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Samuel Pahlsson's power-play goal in the third period Tuesday proved the game-winner for Anaheim in a 3-1 decision over Los Angeles.

Bobby Ryan opened the scoring with a power-play goal for the Ducks at 17:32 of the first period. Rob Niedermayer added an empty-netter with 7 seconds left to seal the win.

The Kings got their goal while playing with a man advantage when Kyle Quincey scored at 1:14 of the second period.

Jonas Hiller made 17 saves for Anaheim and Erik Ersberg made 24 saves for the Kings.
