WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Andrea Bargnani hit four of Toronto's eight free throws in the final 30 seconds Wednesday, allowing Toronto to hold on for a 99-93 win over Washington.
Bargnani scored 25 points and made four three-pointers in helping the Raptors win for the third time in four games. Toronto overcame 20 turnovers.
The Raptors won despite a 32-point effort from Antawn Jamison, who scored 14 points in the fourth quarter during the Wizards' futile comeback attempt. Washington has lost four out of five and has just seven victories all season.
Jamison also surpassed 6,000 career rebounds.
Toronto held a 13-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but Washington made its first eight field goal attempts in the period and closed within five with 39 seconds to play. The Raptors then began a successful parade to the free throw line that closed out the game.
