PITTSBURGH, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Petr Sykora scored two goals Tuesday to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 3-1 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers.

Sidney Crosby also scored while Evgeni Malkin made three assists for the Penguins, who snapped a five-game losing streak.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 27 shots in his first win since Dec. 26 at New Jersey.

Ilya Kovalchuk scored the lone goal for the Thrashers, who have lost six of their last seven games. Kari Lehtonen allowed all three Pittsburgh goals on 29 shots.
