BOSTON, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Marek Zidlicky scored the game's only goal and Niklas Backstrom had his fifth shutout of the season Tuesday in Minnesota's 1-0 win over Boston.

Backstrom, who made 28 saves, recorded his second consecutive blanking for the Wild, who have won three of four. The Finnish-born goalie blanked Colorado Sunday.

Former Wild goalie Manny Fernandez stopped 23 shots for the Bruins, who have lost two in a row after a 10-game winning streak.

Zidlicky's power-play goal came at the 7:29 mark of the second period.
