NHL: Detroit 3, Columbus 0

DETROIT, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Ty Conklin turned back 23 shots Tuesday for his fourth shutout of the season in the Detroit Red Wings' 3-0 victory over Columbus.

Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and two assists for the Red Wings, who won their fourth consecutive game. Marian Hossa and Henrik Zetterberg also scored in the win.

Steve Mason allowed two goals on 39 shots for the Blue Jackets. After two scoreless periods, the Red Wings scored two power-play goals before six minutes had elapsed in the third for a 2-0 lead.
